The Music Collection is a collection of musicians using
authentic instruments to play repertoire of Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn and their contemporaries that focuses around the fortepiano, an ancestor of the piano we know today. They vary the size of the ensemble according to the programme. They make the music from the world of these great composers come alive, giving it a new perspective. The Music Collection was founded by Susan Alexander-Max who is joined by leading players from the London orchestras to make this flexible and exciting ensemble.
